Corporate wellness retreat cost in 2027: what companies really pay per person
"How much does a corporate wellness retreat cost?" has three honest answers, because companies buy three different things: a team offsite with some yoga in it, a week for a few people at a wellness resort, or a long break for one key person. Here are real published prices for each, per person and per day, the costs that never make the brochure, and how to compare them without fooling yourself.

Quick answer. Published figures for 2025-26: a one-day local team retreat runs about US$55-70 per person; an all-inclusive overnight retreat about US$300-350 per person per day; one industry figure puts the average company retreat at about US$3,700 per employee including flights and rooms. A week at a premium wellness retreat can pass US$5,000 per person. A month for one leader with The Quiet Month is a US$10,000 programme fee (about US$333 a day), with the flat extra. Most 2027 prices are not published yet: ask for a written quote.
If you have been asked to "find out what a wellness retreat would cost" for your company, or you want to put a number in front of your own manager, you have probably found that the internet answers in ranges so wide they are useless. That is partly because "corporate wellness retreat" means very different things. This guide splits it into the three things companies actually buy, with real published prices, and is honest about what the prices leave out. I run a small month-long programme, so I am one of the options, and I say so where it matters.
About the numbers. Every figure below is a published price or industry figure I found on 25 October 2026, linked in the sources. Most are from vendors and industry blogs, not independent audits. Most providers have not published 2027 prices yet. Use them as a starting point and ask for a written quote, including from me.

The short answer: three kinds of corporate wellness retreat
| What the company buys | Typical published cost | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| One-day local team retreat | about US$55-70 per person | A team day out, a reset, a nice gesture |
| Overnight team offsite, all-inclusive | about US$300-350 per person per day; one industry average about US$3,700 per employee incl. flights and rooms | Planning, team-building, culture |
| A week at a premium wellness retreat | often US$5,000+ per person; one well-known retreat lists NZ$8,230 for seven days | A few senior people, a real break |
| One leader, one month | The Quiet Month: US$10,000 programme fee, flat extra (about US$333 a day) | One key person who needs more than a week |
The first two are about the team. The last two are about a person. Mixing them up is the most common budgeting mistake: a team offsite with a yoga class is a good thing, but it is not a break for the person everyone leans on.
Team offsites: where the money goes
For a group retreat, the per-person price is mostly travel, rooms and food. The Gable guide (citing RetreatsAndVenues research) puts the average for companies of 21 to 50 people at US$3,692 per employee, including flights and accommodation, and an all-inclusive overnight retreat at US$300 to US$350 per person per day. A local one-day retreat is far cheaper, about US$55 to US$70 per person. The "wellness" part (a yoga teacher, a breathing session, a healthy menu) is usually a small slice of the bill.
That is fine, as long as everyone is honest about what it is: a team event in a nice place. If the goal is rest, a team offsite often does the opposite. People are still at work, just in nicer shoes.

A week at a wellness resort for a few people
Premium wellness retreats sell weeks, not months. Their prices are high because you pay for staff, spa, rooms and a famous name. As one example, Aro Ha's corporate page lists its standard retreat at NZ$8,230 per person for a seven-day experience, with tailored pricing for company groups. My longer guide on what a one-month wellness retreat costs puts more published luxury prices side by side.
A week can be lovely. The honest catch is what the research says about short breaks: in studies of ordinary holidays, the good feeling tends to fade within a week or so of being back at work. A week is a rest. It is rarely long enough to change the routine you go home to.
Executive burnout retreat for leaders: the one-person option
When a company asks about an "executive burnout retreat", it usually means one person: a founder, a CEO, a partner, the head of a family business. The question is not "how do we entertain twenty people" but "how do we give one person a real break, privately". That changes the maths. Instead of a per-person price for a group, you are comparing:
- The fee. For The Quiet Month, US$10,000 for one month (US$19,000 for two, US$27,000 for three). That is about US$333 a day, before the flat.
- The flat, flights, visa and insurance. The guest books and pays their own flat, in their own name. The all-in cost page has worked examples. A company may cover these too; that is between it and the guest.
- Cover at work. A month of someone else doing the job. Often the biggest real cost, and never on any retreat price list.
- Tax. In many countries an employer-paid break is a taxable benefit for the employee. Ask your payroll team or adviser. This is not tax advice.
The World Health Organization describes burn-out as an occupational phenomenon, not a medical condition. If someone may be unwell, the first step is their own doctor. A month away is a break, not medical care, and nobody should sell it as one. My piece on an executive burnout break: a month vs a long weekend goes further.

The costs no retreat brochure shows
- Service charges and tax. Many resorts add these on top of the "from" price. Ask for the final number in writing.
- Travel days. Long flights eat two days of a one-week retreat. They matter far less across a month.
- Single supplements. Group prices often assume shared rooms. Senior people rarely share.
- The week after. If the person comes back to 900 emails, part of the money is gone by Wednesday. Budget for a proper handover and a gentle first week back.
- Privacy. Check what the provider tells the company. It should be very little. With us, the company sees whether the person is going ahead, the dates and the invoice, never health details or reports.

How to compare prices fairly
Turn every option into three numbers: cost per day, days that are actually rest (not travel, not workshops), and what is included (meals, activities, local transport, rooms). Then ask one question: what will this person do differently in the month after? A cheap week that changes nothing is not cheaper than a month that does. And a month is not right for everyone: some people need a long weekend and a lighter workload, not a programme.
Also ask what each provider does not promise. Be wary of anyone who promises better performance, a return on the money, or a health result. We promise none of those. It is a calm month away; what a person does with it is up to them.
Where The Quiet Month fits
The first month starts on 1 January 2027, then the 1st of every month, with up to four guests. Each guest lives in their own private flat a short walk from me. We share simple low-carb meals, move every day at each guest's pace, sit for a short, always optional meditation, go on outings and talk over coffee in the evenings. The rule is no alcohol, no smoking, no drugs for the whole month. A company, founder or family office can pay the programme fee and gets one invoice in my legal name, by bank transfer only. The guest applies themselves, has a free video call with me, and can say no at any point before signing. Details for payers are on for companies and for employers; the full payment steps are on the price page.
Honestly: I'm self-taught, not a doctor or counsellor. The Quiet Month is not medical, not therapy and not rehab. Every guest is 21 or over and brings a doctor's fit-to-join letter and travel insurance. The location is never published; the guest hears the country and city on the call, before anything is signed or paid. If you are the employee, read how to ask your employer to pay (with a letter to copy) and using a training or wellbeing budget for a month away. Questions people ask
How much does a corporate wellness retreat cost per person?
It depends on what the company buys. Published 2025-26 figures: about US$55-70 per person for a one-day local retreat, about US$300-350 per person per day for an all-inclusive overnight retreat, and often US$5,000 or more per person for a week at a premium wellness retreat. Most 2027 prices are not published yet.
How much does an executive wellness retreat cost?
For one senior person, a week at a premium wellness retreat often costs several thousand dollars before flights. A month with The Quiet Month is a US$10,000 programme fee (about US$333 a day); the flat, flights and insurance are extra.
Can a company pay for one employee's retreat?
Yes. With The Quiet Month, a company, founder or family office pays the programme fee and gets the invoice. The guest applies and joins the usual way, and the company never sees health details.
Is a company-paid wellness retreat taxable?
Often, yes: in many countries it counts as a taxable benefit for the employee. Check with payroll or a tax adviser. This is not tax advice.
Will a wellness retreat improve performance?
Nobody honest can promise that. Research on breaks suggests the good feeling fades soon after return unless habits change. We make no promise about work results.
