What a whole month really costs, and how to pay safely.

The fee is US$10,000. Here is the whole picture: the flat, the flights, the insurance. Then exactly how we take payment, so you can spot a fake request in a minute.
The short version
- Programme fee: US$10,000 for one month (2 months US$19,000, 3 months US$27,000).
- Paid by you, directly, on top: your own flat, your flights, visas, travel insurance with medical and evacuation cover (required), personal spending.
- Nothing is paid before a free video call and a signed written agreement.
- Bank transfer only. Never crypto. Never a card form on this site.
- Every invoice comes by email from info@thequietmonth.com. Nothing else is us. Not sure? Check it here before you pay.
What is in the US$10,000
Included in the fee
- All shared meals, low-carb and keto-style, with intermittent fasting. I set the daily eating window and adjust it to you; if you feel unwell, you eat.
- Daily exercise together, at your pace.
- Daily meditation, short and optional.
- Activities and outings.
- Local transport during the month.
Not included, paid by you
- Your flat. I choose a private one-bedroom flat about ten minutes' walk from me and send you the listing. You book and pay it yourself, in your own name.
- Flights to join and to go home.
- Visas and personal spending.
- Travel insurance with medical and evacuation cover, for the whole stay. Required.
The all-in cost: three examples
These flat figures are estimates, not quotes. Real flat prices depend on the month, the flat and the season. On the free video call we work out your real total.

Then add your own flights, visa (if any), insurance and spending money. Those depend on where you live. You learn the country and city after the free video call, before you sign anything.

How paying works, step by step
- Apply, then a free video call. You see and hear the person you are dealing with. No commitment on either side.
- Country and city. If we both want to go ahead, I tell you where the month will be.
- A written agreement. You get my full legal name and details in writing, and we both sign.
- An invoice by email from info@thequietmonth.com. It has the payment details, in my legal name.
- You pay by bank transfer. The amounts and dates are on the price page and in your agreement.
How to pay safely
The only way we take payment: a video call, a signed agreement, then an invoice by email from info@thequietmonth.com, paid by bank transfer.
We never
- Ask for money in a chat: not in the Rowan chat on this site (Rowan is our AI assistant), and not on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or text message.
- Ask for crypto or send a wallet address. The Quiet Month never takes crypto.
- Send payment details from any other email address, or from a free email account.
- Change bank details by message.
- Rush you: no countdowns, no "last place", no "booking fee" before the call.
Why we say this so plainly. A bank transfer is a lot like sending cash: once it has gone, it is usually very hard to get back. The US Federal Trade Commission says so too (FTC: what to know before you wire money). That is why we only invoice after you have seen me on video and signed, and why we want you to check every request.
Check any request in a minute
- Is it an email from info@thequietmonth.com? (Type the address yourself; don't just press reply.)
- Did you have a video call and sign an agreement first?
- Does the name on the invoice match the legal name in your agreement?
- Do the bank details match your agreement?
Any "no", or any doubt: don't pay. Forward it to info@thequietmonth.com. We reply within 48 hours and tell you plainly if it is from us. More: Is this payment request really from us?
Already paid someone who wasn't us? Call your bank or payment service now; the sooner, the better. Report it to the police or the fraud reporting service where you live, and tell us at info@thequietmonth.com so we can warn others.
Honest small print
- I'm self-taught, not a doctor or counsellor. The Quiet Month is a healthy-living month, not a medical or counselling service.
- Every guest is 21 or over and brings a doctor's fit-to-join letter and travel insurance with medical and evacuation cover.
- We don't publish where the month takes place. You learn the country and city after the video call, before you sign.
Someone else paying? As a gift or by their company: the same fee, and the guest still applies themselves. The first month starts on 1 January 2027.
